UAE establishes Steel Producers Committee (SPC) as a representative body for the nation's steel industry

UAE Steel Industry gets a representative body by the formation of Steel Producers Committee (SPC).

This is the first of its kind synergized effort to form a committee with common vision and goal. The Committee’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Taurani Holdings, Mr. Anil Taurani, and the CEO of UTP Group, Mr. Sumit Ghoshal, with region’s biggest steel producers with a global supply chain will lead the transformation of the industry alongside global challenges that are common industry-wide.

“SPC will be responsible for establishing communication gateways and promoting cooperation with investors and stakeholders, as well as local public and private partnerships across the UAE who are involved with our industry.” - Mr. Anil Taurani, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, on the launch of UAE’s Steel Producers Committee (SPC).

The SPC aims to unite all steel industry leaders under one banner to create better regulations, rules and policies to the benefit of the steel industry, which in turn will help to maximise the contribution of the industrial sector to the UAE’s vision and plans for sustainable development and economic diversification.

The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Committee aims to developing a collaborative environment to protect business interests of the steel producers and manufacturers and distributors of steel products in the UAE.
